The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed works under agreement No.257/2023-24, dt.06.11.2023 and the supplemental agreement No.430 of 2023- 2024, dt.09.02.2024 and the agreement No.256/2023-24, dt.06.11.2023 and the supplemental agreement No.429 of 2023- 2024, dt.09.02.2024, as entrusted by the 4th respondent- corporation and submitted final bills. It is submitted that the final bill was also endorsed by the competent authority and also recorded the progress of work and certified the work in the M- Book. It is submitted that, in all, an amount of Rs.17,55,668/- is due and payable by the respondents to the petitioner. Though the work progress was recorded in the M-Book, no amounts have been forth coming. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, the learned standing counsel for the Corporation, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning. -3- W.P. Considering the submissions, respondents 2 and 4 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.
