Heard the parties.
2. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No. 91/2025 arising out of Burmu P.S. Case No. 42/2024, for the offences registered under Sections 80, 238 & 3(5) of the B.N.S. 2023 subsequently charge has been framed under Sections 61(2)(a), 103(1)/3(5), 238(b)/3(5) of the B.N.S. 2023, pending in the Court of learned Addl. Judicial Commissioner-VI, Ranchi.
3. Petitioner happens to be husband of the deceased Sangeeta Devi, who died because of asphyxia due to drowning. It is alleged that deceased was tortured to enforce demand of dowry.
4. From perusal of the postmortem report of the deceased, it appears that several abrasions were found on the person of deceased.
5. Report regarding the stage of trial, earlier called for, has been received. It appears that charge has been framed in this case on
03.04.2025. It further appears that prosecution has not examined any witness.
6. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected.
7. Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same at the earliest.
