***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J. (Oral) The appellant-Damanjot Kaur (wife) assailing the judgment and decree dated 08.03.2022 Court, Bathinda, while accepting a petition under Section 13(1) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, filed by the respondent dissolved the marriage of the parties.
Learned counsel representing the respondent has passed of settlement agreement dated 18.07.2025, entered into between the parties wherein it has been agreed amongst the parties that the appellant shall pay an Rs.27,00,000/- to the respondent towards full and final settlement of past, present and future maintenance of the wife and the minor child. It has been informed that while an amount of Rs.2,00,000/ the remaining amount of Rs.25,00,000/ by the appellant to the respondent. As per the settlement agreement, all the pending cases shall be withdrawn by both the parties.

It has an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- had already been paid Rs.25,00,000/- is being paid through cheque by the appellant to the respondent. As per the settlement agreement, all the pending cases shall be withdrawn by both the parties.

Both the parties are present in Court, who are duly identified by their respective counsel. We have interacted with the parties. The appellant has handed-over cheque amounting to Rs.25,00,000/- to the respondent, who has accepted the same. A copy of the settlement agreement and a copy of cheque have been furnished, which are taken on record.
In view of the compromise entered amongst the parties, the instant appeal is dismissed as withdrawn. Parties shall abide by all the terms and conditions of the settlement agreement dated 18.07.2025 and take necessary step(s) for giving due effect to the same.
