(2) According to petitioners, they challenged an award, rendered by District Collector, Haridwar in proceedings under Section 3G(5) of National Highways Act, 1956, before District Judge, Haridwar by filing an application under Section 34 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act. By means of this writ petition, petitioners have sought a direction to the Court concerned to expedite the said application, filed by them under Section 34 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act. (3) Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the aforesaid application, which is pending before District Judge, was filed in the year 2016 and nearly nine years have gone by, but no progress has been made in the matter. Thus a prayer has been made to direct the District Judge to expedite disposal of the said application. (4) Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, writ petition is disposed of with a request to District Judge, Haridwar to make endeavour to decide Misc.
