For the Respondents: Mr. Anup Rattan, Advocate General with Mr. Rajan Kahol and Mr. Vishal Panwar, Additional Advocate Generals and Mr. Ravi Chauhan, Deputy Advocate General. ____________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, Judge(oral): Having taken note of the fact that petitioner has been working at present place of posting w.e.f. 01.01.1994, this Court sees no reason to interfere with the impugned transfer order dated 04.07.2025 (Annexure P-1), whereby he has been transferred from HPPWD Sub-Division Shillai to HPPWD Sub-Division Sataun. However, having taken note of the fact that petitioner is going to retire within a period of two years, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, deems it fit to dispose of the present petition, reserving liberty to the petitioner to file representation to the competent authority for his adjustment/ transfer at a convenient station, within a period of one week, which in turn, shall be decided by the competent authority 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 within a period of two weeks. Ordered accordingly. Needless to say, authority concerned, while doing the needful in terms of instant order, shall afford an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner and pass appropriate order, taking note of transfer policy formulated by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, which enables an employee nearing retirement to seek transfer/adjustment at a convenient station. Till the time representation, if any, filed by the petitioner within a period of one week, is not decided by the competent authority, interim order dated 10.07.2025 shall remain in force.
