This is an application praying for impleadment of the Director of Archaeology, Assam. 3. This Court by an order dated 12.03.2026, has observed that the petitioner is required to implead either the Superintendent of Archaeology or the Officer so authorized by the State Government in respect to Na-Pukhuri so that this Court would be in a position to take note of as to whether any order has been passed in terms with Rule 11(2) of the Rules of 1964. Pursuant thereto the present application has been filed for impleadment of the Director, Directorate of Archaeology, Assam as respondent no. 5 in the connected writ petition being WP(C) 5704/2025. 4. Having considered the order of this Court dated 12.03.2026 and also considering the nature of grievances raised in the connected writ petition as well as agreed to by the learned counsel for both the parties, I deem it appropriate to allow this application as the Director, Directorate of Archaeology, Assam appears to be a necessary party in the connected writ petition for proper adjudication of the issue in the said writ petition. 5. Accordingly, the Director, Directorate of Archaeology, Assam is allowed to be impleaded as respondent no.5 in the connected writ petition being WP(C) 5704/2025. 6.
