At the oral prayer of learned counsel for the petitioner he is permitted to correct the description of respondent no.2 in the cause title. 2. The prayer made in the instant petition filed in public interest is for a direction to respondent no.2 i.e., Regional Officer, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, Aligarh to take action against respondent no.5 and cancel No-Objection Certificate granted to respondent no.5- a brick kiln unit and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 08.01.2025. 3. The case of the petitioner is that the brick kiln of respondent no.5 is situated at a close distance to residential area and it violates the U.P. Brick Kilns (Siting Criteria for Establishment) Rules, 2012. 4. Learned counsel for U.P. Pollution Control Board has placed on record a notice issued by Regional Officer, U.P. Pollution Control Board dated 18.01.2025 to respondent no.5 seeking its explanation. He submits that an inspection of the unit was also carried out but decision is yet to be taken. He submits that it would be taken expeditiously. 5. As respondent no.2 has already issued notice and the proceedings are pending, therefore, we dispose of the instant petition by providing that the proceedings be taken to logical conclusion strictly in accordance with law expeditiously.
