Heard Mr.P.Mani, learned counsel for the petitioner https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 8370 of 2025 and Mr.M.R.Gokulkrishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3. 3. The case of the petitioner is that initially the subject property was classified as “Thotti Oozhiyam” in the revenue records. However, after the UDR survey, the land has been wrongly classified as “Royatwari punjai”. In view of the same, a representation was made to correct the entry. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions. 4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the written instructions that has been received from the 3rd respondent wherein it has been stated that initially the property stood in the name of AVM.Sundar raj and presently, it has been classified as a “Tharisu” and since the entry had been made during the UDR survey and the 2nd respondent alone has the power and jurisdiction to deal with the same, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 06.01.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 8370 of 2025 period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
