The petitioner is trying to play smart after having accepted the compensation for damage caused to the residential property in connection with construction of road from Dharam Kund to Shana Bhati in village Ashmar, tehsil Gool, district Ramban, which is said to have taken place way back in the year 2014-15 but now coming in the year 2025 with the present writ petition with a prayer for a ‘writ of mandamus’ unto the respondents No. 4 and 5 seeking compensation to the damaged house of the petitioner un-mentioned in the writ petition as to in which khasra number and in which village the same is situated and also seeking re- Serial No. 116 2 WP(C) No. 1078/2025 assessment and re-evaluation of the structure and residential house of the petitioner as per market value meaning thereby the assessment had taken place at first instance for the sake of payment and the petitioner is now seeking re-assessment.
