The writ petition is filed seeking indulgence of this Court, praying the following relief:-
“……declaring the action on part of the Respondents in issuing the notice of superannuation on attainment of the age of 58 Years on 31st May 2017 vide Letter No.5219/MII/98 dated 10.5.2017 of the 1st Respondent in seeking to retire the petitioner from service w.e.f. 31.5.2017 without extending the benefit of enhanced the age of superannuation from 58 years to 60 years issued vide G.O.Ms.No.147 dated 30.6.2014 as illegal, arbitrary and discriminatory being violative of article 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondents to allow the Petitioner to continue in service till the attainment of 60 years of age by

extending the benefit of enhanced aged of superannuation as provided through the amendment issued vide G.O.Ms.NO. 147 dated 30.6.2014 and pass……”
2. The sum and substance in the present lis is that the petitioner is seeking enhancement of superannuation age from 58 years to 60 years in the 1st respondent University.
3. When the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioner.
4. On the other hand, learned Smt. T.V. Sridevi, learned Standing Counsel for the 1st respondent-University submits that consequent to the interim orders dated 26.05.2017, petitioner service was extended till the superannuation age of 60 years and subsequently, he retired from service on 31.05.2019. Making the said submissions, learned Standing Counsel submits that the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.
4. In view of the above submissions, the writ petition is closed as there is no further adjudication is required in the lis.
There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, all pending applications shall stand closed.
