By the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking direction towards the respondent authority to pay compensation in respect of his land acquired by the National Highway Authority of India for construction of land. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that construction of road over the land of the petitioner i.e. bearing Khasra No. 57/2 & 57/4 admeasuring area 0.3040 & 0.3120 hectare respectively, situated at Village Gala, P.H. No. 7, RIC Patthalgaon are being taken place by the respondent No.5, yet no compensation has been paid to the petitioner. 3. Learned counsel for respondent No. 5 has submitted its reply along with afÏdavit stating therein on paragraphs 13 & 14 that the award against the said acquired land of the petitioner has already been passed and compensation has been deposited by the Central Government with CALA, which the petitioner can receive. He submits that if any dispute arises concerning the computation of compensation amount determined by CALA, the petitioner may approach the Arbitrator as per the provision of Section 3 G(5) of the National Highways Act, 1956. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner, in response, submits that the petitioner though had approached before the Authority but they were not making payment of the said amount. 5. I have heard counsel for the parties and perused the documents annexed with the writ petition. 3 6. Looking to the submissions made by the parties, the petitioner is directed to approach before the Competent Authority/Land Acquisition OfÏcer/SDO-cum-CALA within a period of 10 days and in the event if the petitioner approaches the said authority, the amount of compensation, as awarded by the CALA, shall be disbursed in favour of the petitioner immediately within a period of 10 days. 7.
