GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: 3 THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA WRIT PETITION NO: 24184/2025 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “…to issue Writ, Order or Direction one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS to declaring the action of the 4th respondent in not registering the crime against the 5th respondent on the report made by the petitioner dated 17.07.2025 as well as on the report sent through courier service vide Track No.H54253908 and also on the report submitted to the 3rd respondent on 20.07.2025 as illegal, arbitrary, consequentially direct the respondents 3 to 4 herein to register FIR and to conduct enquiry and take necessary action against the respondent No.5 basing on the report dated 17.07.2025 and 20.07.2025 sent through courier service vide Track No.H54253908…” 2. Heard Sri Appavu Muniraj, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for the respondents. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, would submit that after preliminary enquiry into the audio and video documents which were presented to the Police through a pendrive, there was no direct reference to the complainant’s personal life or actions. They do not disclose any prima facie cognizable offences. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that, that is why the Police have not registered any crime on the said information furnished to them. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that recording the same, the petition may be disposed of. 4 5. Recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out her remedy before appropriate forum according to law. No order as to costs.
