The Court made the following ORDER:
This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A1, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.283 of 2024 of Bommuru Police Station, East Godavari district.

2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’).
3. Brief facts of the case are that, on 03.08.2024, at about 04.30 PM, the Sub-Inspector of Police, Bommuru Police Station, along with his staff and mediators, while conducting raids on NH-216 road, near ‘O’ point, Diwancheruvu village, Rajanagaram Mandal, East Godavari district, found A1 in possession and illegal transportation of 443.860 Kgs of Ganja in Eicher Van bearing registration No.TN 05 T9356. A1 confessed that the said Ganja was handed over by A2 and supplied by A3. The contraband along with the vehicle and other material was seized under cover of a mediators report and a case has been registered against the accused.
4. Heard. Perused the record.
5. The quantity of contraband allegedly seized from the possession of the accused is 443.860 Kgs of Ganja, which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined and A2 and A3 are to be

apprehended. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein.
6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
