The instant writ petition has been preferred for a direction to respondents to grant appropriate compensation to the acquired land of the petitioner and for a further direction to respondent no.2- District Magistrate, Siddharth Nagar to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 24.02.2025 within stipulated period. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the land in question has been acquired for public purpose i.e. for establishment of police station/ barracks but till date the compensation has not been disbursed to the petitioner and his brother Ganga Sagar, who is rightful owners. The grand father of the petitioner namely Kashi was the original tenure holder. He had two sons namely Kedar and Jagarnath (father of the petitioner). The property of Kedar had been devolved on his wife (Shanti) and son Bhagauti (Son). The property of Jagar Nath had been devolved on Ganga Sagar and the petitioner. The said Shanti and Bhagauti had sold their share of property to the petitioner.
