Mr. Rajan Kahol and Mr. Vishal Panwar, Additional Advocates General with Mr. Ravi Chauhan and Mr. Anish Banshtu, Deputy Advocates General, for the respondents. While placing on record communication dated 6.10.2025 issued under the signature of Executive Engineer, Ghumarwin Division, HPPWD Ghumarwin, Mr. Rajan Kahol, learned Additional Advocate General, states that steps already stand taken towards implementation of the mandate contained in the judgment sought to be complied with. Having perused aforesaid communication, which is taken on record, this Court finds that in compliance of order passed by this Court, matter regarding demarcation of the land of the petitioner situate in Village Soi, Tehsil Ghumarwin used for the construction of Ghumarwin Dabla Morsinghi road was taken up with the Land Acquisition Officer HPPWD Mandi vide office letter dated 19.7.2025. Now aforesaid authority has already demarcated the land and calculated the amount of compensation. On receipt of calculation from the Land Acquisition Officer, demand for LOC/Funds was submitted to the Superintending Engineer HPPWD, Bilaspur, who has further referred the matter to Chief Engineer HPPWD Hamirpur, for allotment of funds to the tune of Rs 1.00 crore. Learned Additional Advocate General states that as soon as funds are received, same shall be disbursed to the petitioner in terms of calculations made by the Land Acquisition Officer. Having taken note of the aforesaid facts, this Court is convinced that substantial compliance has already been done as such, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the present proceedings alive, and accordingly, same are closed with direction to the respondents to ensure that amount calculated in terms of report submitted by the Land Acquisition Officer is disbursed to the petitioner, expeditiously, preferably, within two months.
