SANJIV BERRY, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR (Annexure P-1) as under: - FIR No. Dated Sections Police Station 280 04.07.2021 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of IPC Division 5, District Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana.

It is, inter alia, contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that in compliance to the order passed by this Court on 19.03.2025, the petitioner has appeared before the learned trial Court and furnished the requisite bail bonds. In support of his contention, he has placed on record copy of order dated 20.03.2025 passed by learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ludhiana, in this regard.
3. This aspect is not disputed by learned State counsel.
4. During the course of hearing on 19.03.2025 following order was passed:
“ Heard. KANIKA 2025.04.23 11:58 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this
order/judgment

CRM-M-12794-2025 2 It is pointed out by learned State counsel on instructions from HC Navjot Singh, Investigating Officer of the case that challan in the case has already been presented in the Court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ludhiana where it is pending for tomorrow i.e. 20.03.2025 for the presence of the petitioner. It is evident from the perusal of para 5 of the status report that the petitioner was found innocent in the matter vide zimni dated 08.04.2022. However, interestingly, the police has presented the challan without even arresting the present petitioner. Learned State counsel seeks some time for taking instructions in this regard. List on 22.04.2025. In the meanwhile, petitioner is directed to appear before the Trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned, within a period of 03 days from today. In that event, he is ordered to be admitted on interim bail on his furnishing bail bonds /surety bonds to the satisfaction of the concerned Court/Duty Magistrate.”
5. Keeping in view the fact that the petitioner has already appeared in the Court and furnished his requisite bail/surety bonds consequent to the
order dated 19.03.2025, passed by this Court, the present petition is allowed and the interim bail granted vide order dated 19.03.2025 is hereby confirmed.
6. The petition stands disposed of.
