Petitioner has been made an accused in connection with Chouparan P.S. Case No. 358 of 2024, for the offences under sections 317(5)/3(5) of B.N.S. Act and Sections 21 (c)/ 22 (c)/ 29 of N.D.P.S Act, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge -cum- Special Judge, NDPS Act at Hazaribagh. On 16.10.2024, Chouparan police apprehended the petitioner and co-accused Kohinoor Singh, while they were travelling on a motorcycle near Balaband Majar, Chouparan. It is alleged that 15.50 grams of brown sugar were recovered from their joint possession. It was submitted that the quantum of seized contraband comes within purview of intermediary quantity. It was further submitted that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and this fact has been mentioned at paragraph 14 of this bail application.
