No.2 of 2025 (Amendment Petition) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/appellant. Considering the submissions made and in the light of the statement made by the appellant and the respondent, who are present before the Court, that they may be granted decree of divorce by mutual consent under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, as they have entered into compromise and the 2 CMA_419_2023 terms of which are reduced into writing by way of joint memo dated 25.7.2025, I.A. No.2 of 2025 is allowed. Registry is directed to make necessary amendments wherever necessary. I.A. No.1 of 2025 (Compromise Petition) 2. I.A. No.1 of 2025 is filed seeking to record the compromise entered into between the petitioner and the respondent, the terms of which are reduced into writing by way of joint memo dated 25.7.2025 and consequently to grant decree of divorce under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act by dissolving the marriage solemnized between the petitioner and the respondent on 22.4.2016. 3. The appellant herein filed H.M.O.P. No.100 of 2021 under Sections 13(1)(ia),(ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act to dissolve the marriage solemnized with the respondent by granting decree of divorce. The learned Additional Senior Civil Judge, Narasaraopet dismissed the said O.P., by judgment and decree dated 04.5.2023. Aggrieved by the said judgment and decree, the present appeal is filed. 4. During the pendency of the appeal, the appellant filed I.A. No.2 of 2025 seeking to amend the prayer to grant decree of divorce by mutual consent under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act and the same is allowed, as mentioned in paragraph No.1 above. 5. The petitioner/husband and the respondent/wife appeared before this Court and they are identified by their respective counsel. They state that they have entered into compromise, the terms of which are reduced into writing by way of joint memo dated 25.7.2025 and the same is annexed to I.A. No.1 of 2025. 3 CMA_419_2023 6. To a specific query, the respondent/wife asserted that she entered into compromise voluntarily and there is no coercion or compulsion by anybody. She also states that in terms of the compromise, an amount of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakhs only) is already deposited in her account. 7. In the light of the compromise entered into between the parties, the marriage solemnized between the petitioner and the respondent on 22.4.2016 is dissolved under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, setting aside the judgment and decree dated 04.5.2023 in H.M.O.P. No.100 of 2021. Accordingly, I.A. No.1 of 2025 is allowed. C.M.A. No.419 of 2023 8. In the light of the orders passed in I.A. Nos.1 and 2 of 2025, the C.M.A. is disposed of, as compromised, granting decree of divorce by mutual consent under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 by dissolving the marriage solemnized on 22.4.2016 between the appellant/husband and the respondent/wife. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. 9. Registry to annex a copy of the joint memo of compromise filed along with I.A.
