Petitioner is aggrieved that despite he is eligible for promotion on the post of 'Sardar' in the Food Corporation of India, Annagar, Azamgarh and despite his matter is under consideration before concerned respondents, however, till date no decision has been taken. 3. Sri H.N.Singh, learned counsel for the respondents on basis of written instructions submits that procedure for finalization of seniority list is underway and it will be completed within a period of 5 to 6 months and thereafter claim of petitioner for promotion on the post of 'Sardar' amongst eligible candidates will be considered if he falls within the zone of consideration. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that on basis of above submissions, this writ petition may be disposed of. 5. In the aforesaid circumstances, without entering into the merits of the case so far as claim of the petitioner is concerned, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that after finalization of seniority list, process for promotion on the post of 'Sardar' amongst eligible candidates be commenced preferably within a period of 8 months.
