The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Rail Hatia P.S. Case No. 10 of 2022, corresponding to N.D.P.S. Case No.51 of 2022, for the offence registered under Section 20(b) (ii) of NDPS Act, pending in the court of Sri Anand Prakash, learned Additional Judicial Commissioner- III, Ranchi. On 16.08.2022, Railway Police Hatia apprehended co-accused Sanika Munda from the main gate of Hatia Railway Station and recovered 1.980 kgs of opium. It was submitted that the name of the petitioner has transpired from the confession of apprehended co-accused Sanika Munda. It was further submitted that apart from confession of co-accused, there is no other material against the petitioner on record. It was also submitted that petitioner is not an accused in any case, arising out of NDPS Act. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Anand Prakash, learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-III, Ranchi, in connection with Rail Hatia P.S.
