The petitioner has been made accused in connection with NDPS Case No. 68 of 2021, Bearing NCB Crime No.15/NCB/Ranchi/2021, for the offences registered under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 & 29 of NDPS Act, pending in the court of Sri Yogesh Kumar Singh, learned Additional Judicial Commissioner -VIII-cum-Special Judge, NDPS at Ranchi. It was submitted that the petitioner is a Khalasi of a pick-up van bearing registration No. JH02-Z-0657, from which, about 310 kgs of cannabis were recovered. It was further submitted that the driver of the vehicle has been granted bail by the Coordinate Bench of this Court. Mr. Anil Kumar, learned A.S.G.I on behalf of Narcotics Control Bureau has submitted that only one witness remains to be examined in this case and the trial is likely to be concluded soon. In view of the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected. Learned Trial Court shall conclude the trial within three months from the date of receipt of this order, failing which, petitioner if so advised may renew his prayer for bail. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
