Choudhury, learned Senior Counsel, assisted by Ms. SE Murtaza, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. G. Hazarika, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent nos. 1 & 2 and Mr. G. Hazarika, learned counsel appearing for the respondent nos. 3, 4 & 5. 2. The petitioner’s case basically is that the petitioner, being a landless person, applied for allotment of Government Khas land, covered by Dag No. 2, situated at village Geramari Pt-5 under Gauripur Revenue Circle. The petitioner contends that he is residing in the said plot of land for the last 45 years and he has been accorded approval for allotment of the land by the Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri, vide letter dated 03.06.2024. Accordingly, he has applied before the concerned authority for issuance of Patta with due payment of the premium. However, the petitioner was not allotted any Patta and being aggrieved, the petitioner has approached this Court. 3. Ms. Choudhury, learned Senior Counsel submits that though the issuance of Patta was stalled for certain point of time due to some technical defects, now the digital portal has already been opened and the process of issuance is going on. 4. Mr. S. K. Hazarika, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 3, 4 & 5 submits Page No.# 3/3 that verification of the documents has already been carried out and the Patta will be issued to the petitioner in a short time. He submits that since the grievance of the petitioner has already been met, there nothing remains for adjudication in the matter and the matter can be disposed of with a direction to the concerned authority to issue the Patta within a specified time. 5. Taking into account the above submissions, this Court is of the considered opinion that the instant matter can be disposed of with a direction to the concerned authority to issue the necessary Patta to the petitioner within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6. The petitioner is directed to submit a copy of the instant order to the concerned authority, i.e., the respondent no. 3 at the earliest, so that the needful can be carried out by the respondent no. 3. 7.
