By the present writ petition the petitioner is seeking a direction for early hearing of EP/7/2022 pending in the Court of learned District Judge questioning the election of respondent No. 4 as the Councillor of ward No. 56 i.e. sector-2 West, Municipal Corporation, Bhilai. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the election petition has been filed in the year 2022 and yet it has not been decided finally. He further submits that the tenure of the election 3 will expire in the year 2026, hence he is seeking early disposal of the election petition. 3. Considering the fact that the petitioner is participating in the election petition proceeding since 2022, it is directed that the petitioner may approach the learned District Judge for early disposal of the election petition by intimating the Court that the tenure of the election for the post of Councillor will come to an end in the year 2026, if the petitioner will file such application for early disposal of election petition, it is expected that may be considered by the learned District Judge, in accordance with law and on its merits. 4.
