1. Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties. It would appear that a fresh election process consequent upon setting aside of the election held in respect of Badkulla Anchal Large Sized Cooperative Agricultural Credit Society vide order dated 30th April, 2024, has already commenced.
2. Although it has been submitted on behalf of the Cooperative Election Commission, West Bengal that steps have been taken to hold fresh election and the
2 Returning Officer (ARO) has been appointed, no particulars of the steps taken by the Election Commission is available on record.
3. Having regard thereto, I direct Mr. Nayak learned advocate representing the Cooperative Election Commission, West Bengal to file status report as regards the steps taken by the Cooperative Election Commission to conduct the election pursuant to setting aside of the previous election vide order dated 30th April, 2024.
4. Let such report be filed in the form of affidavit within 10 days from date.
5. List this matter on 22nd April, 2025 under the heading ‘Hearing’.
