Heard learned Counsel Mr. R.Sharma for the applicant/ appellant and learned counsel Mr. I.K.Buragohain appearing on behalf of learned counsel Mr. R. Hazarika, representing the respondent No.1. 2. This interlocutory application is filed with prayer to stay the operation of the judgment and award dated 04.01.2025 passed by the learned Member, MACT, Nagaon in MAC case No. 187/2022. 3. The insurance company is aggrieved by the quantum of compensation directed to be paid to the claimant No.1. 4. Considering the submissions at the bar, the operation of the judgment and award dated 04.01.2025 passed in MAC case No. 187/2022 is stayed until further orders subject to the condition that the insurance company deposits 50% of the compensation awarded to the claimant No.1 within 04 (four) weeks from the date of this order and on submission of the learned counsel for the claimant, the claimant is directed to withdraw the amount from the Registry of this Court. 5. The insurance company is directed to deposit the compensation before the Registry of this Court and thereafter the Registry may allow the claimant to withdraw 50% of the awarded compensation after proper verification of the claimant No.1.
