Heard the parties
2. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Latehar P.S. Case No. 106/2024 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 435/2024, for the offences registered under Sections 399, 402 of the I.P.C. and Section 25(1-B)(a), 26/35 of the Arms Act and Section 17 of the C.L.A. Act, pending in the Court of learned C.J.M., Latehar.
3. On 23.06.2024, Latehar Police, on the basis of confidential information that criminals had assembled near Ichabar Tola and were making preparation for committing dacoity, raided the place of occurrence and apprehended this petitioner along with co-accused persons. A loaded country-made pistol is alleged to have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner.
4.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that other co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court earlier.
5. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that nothing was recovered from the possession of co-accused person who has been granted bail. It was further submitted that petitioner is an accused in as many as four cases.
6. Considering the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage.
7. The petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail after six months.
