1. Reply stands filed by the respondent Nos. 1 and 2, wherein it is stated that the Board of Inquiry concluded that missing of Sahil Verma, SEA II (RP), was due to accidental falling overboard which was attributable to service conditions. Accordingly, missing report was registered at Yellow Gate Police Station, Mumbai on 04.03.2024. It is further stated that the report submitted by the Board of Inquiry was examined by the Competent Authority at Naval Headquarters, New Delhi and the findings of the Board of Inquiry were approved wherein the sailor was declared ‘presumed dead’ due to accidental fall overboard.
2. In view of this, no further directions are required to be issued to the respondents, as such, the instant petition is accordingly disposed of.
