PATIL ORAL JUDGMENT (PER: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN) This writ petition is filed seeking the following reliefs: i. Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order or direction, declaring the petitioner to be entitled to participate in the 2nd round of Counselling of the UG NEET 2023 conducted by the KEA by entering all the options afresh from the options entered in the 1st round of counselling; and to appear in the Counselling Process of the - UG Medical-2023 conducted by the Respondent No.3 Karnataka - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:140-DB WP No. 19513 of 2023 Examinations Authority and to select seats in accordance with the inter-se merit; and ii. Issue any other appropriate writ or order or direction as their Hon'ble Court deems fit to grant in the facts and circumstances of the case; in the interest of justice and equity. 2. It is submitted that an order had been issued on 01.09.2023 permitting the petitioner to enter new choices including Government Quota and Private Quota and not limit his option to NRI Quota, in the second round of UG NEET-2023 counselling under General Merit Category. It is submitted that pursuant to the interim order dated 01.09.2023, the petitioner had participated in the counselling and has been admitted to the UG NEET course. 3. In view of the above submissions and in the light of the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Advocate as well, we find that nothing survives for consideration in this writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly closed recording that the petitioner has been granted admission on the - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:140-DB WP No. 19513 of 2023 basis of the counselling undergone by him on the basis of the interim order granted by this Court.
