THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 293/2025 ORDER: The Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is filed on behalf of the petitioner/A3 to grant anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No.224/2024 of Chittoor Urban Police Station, Chittoor Distr'lct. 2) Acase has been registered against the petitionerand others for the offence punishable u/See.7-A read with 8(e) of the A.P. Prohibition Act,
1995. 3) Case of the prosecution in brief is that on 21.ll.2024 at 09.00 am, the Inspector of Prohibition and Excise, Chittoor along with staff, during the course of their raids proceeded to Raghunadhapuram Cross on N.R.Peta - Ramapuram bus road and saw two male persons on a two wheeler. On suspicion, they were detained and on enquiry they revealed that the bag in their custody contained I.D. Arrack packets. Since, no mediators were secured in spite of the best efforts, the contraband was seized under the cover of special report and they were arrested, and pursuant to the special report, the subject crime was registered. 4) Heard.

2 Jr, 5) On a perusal of the material available on the record goes to show that Al and A2 in this Crime were arrested on 21.ll.2024 and they were released on regular bail. Basing on the confessional statement ofAl and A2, name of the petitioner has been shown as an accused in the said case. In pursuance to the confessional statement, nothing has been seized from the possession of the petitl'oner herein. ln view of the same, this Court l's inclined to consider the prayer of petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail. 6) Accordingly, in the event of arrest of petitioner/A3 with regard to this crime, he shall be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties for the like sum to the satisfaction of the arresting police officl'als and also on condition that the petitioner shall make himself available for investigation as and when required and that he shall not cause any threat, inducement or promise to the prosecution witnesses. Petitioner shall appear before the station House Officer concerned once in a week i.e. on every Sunday between 10.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m., till filing of the charge-sheet. 7) Accordingly, the Criml'nal Petition is allowed. //TRUE COPY// Fo, ^__._SEcTION oFFIbER
