As the news Was SPread about the gold loans by pledging SPuriOuS gold ornaments in sBl branches, Proddatur, then the branch managers verified the gold pledged for loans by the applicants thoroughly and found spurious gold ornaments pledged by 39 applicants (A2 to A40) in 102 gold loan accounts 'ln wh'ICh Al who is the gold aPPra'lSer Of Sivalayam branch, proddatur issued pur-lty certificate. Later, as per instructions Of higher officials, the complainant preferred complaint and the same was registered as cr.No.229/2023 for the OffenCeS under See.420, 406 read w-lth 34 of I.P.C. 4) Heard. PerusedthereCOrd. I-EEC \> I---- ` 5) On a perusal of the material available on the record goes to show that all the allegations are directed against A1. He is alleged to have made confessional statement that he is a gold appral'ser and he l's in the habit of pledging spurious gold in the name of others in the SBI, Sivalayam branch and obtaining loan amounts. At one stretch, Al has Pledged the spurious gold in the bank in the name of the petitioner and obtained gold loan. Al has taken the total responsibility of moc/us operand,-that has taken in obtaining loans from the bank. Al has used the petitioner herein as source to obtain loan by pledging spurious gold by him. Al to A8 were all arrested and released on bail by the Court below.
