CMP No.16765 of 2025 The applicant/insurer/appellant has filed this application for refund of Rs.7,61,330/- on account of modification of award passed by Motor Accident Claims Tribunal vide judgment dated 07.04.2025. Learned counsel for the claimants disputes the calculations made by the applicant/insurer. Apparently, the applicant/insurer is entitled to refund of the amount i.e. the difference in the total of compensation awarded by this Court and the one awarded by learned Tribunal. In addition, the applicant/insurer will also be entitled to pro-rata interest on the award amount deposited by it in the Registry of this Court as has accrued on such amount till date. For quantum of accrued interest, the Registry is directed to calculate the same and report on the next date. CMP No.16300 of 2025 This application has been filed by the applicant/respondent No.4 Manaswi @ Manasvi Panta with a prayer to discharge her Guardian as she has attained majority. The application is supported by an affidavit. A copy of marks sheet of Senior Secondary School examination of the applicant/respondent No.4 Manasvi Panta has also been placed on record, according to which her date of birth is 16-03-2006. Thus, the
applicant having attained majority is entitled to pursue her legal claims and remedies in her own right. Accordingly, the Guardian is discharged . Application stands disposed of. CMP No.16302 of 2025 List for consideration on 31st July, 2025. ( Satyen Vaidya )
