The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail in connection with FIR No.481/2023 under Sections 420/406 IPC registered at P.S. Janak Puri (West), New Delhi. 2. The case of the prosecution in brief is that the present petitioner was working as an employee of the complainant and he had collected payments from various customers of the complainant and misappropriated the same. 3. This court had issued notice in the present petition vide order dated 04.11.2024 with a further direction that no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner subject to his joining investigation. 4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner had joined investigation, as directed by the IO concerned, on 08.11.2024 which position is not disputed by the learned APP appearing on This is a digitally signed order. On a query posed by the court, the learned APP states that though the allegations are that the present petitioner had collected an amount of Rs.8,23,556/- from number of customers but till date the IO has recorded the statement of only one customer who has stated that he had paid an amount of Rs.48,980/- to the present petitioner. However, statement of no other customer has been recorded till date despite the FIR having been registered a year ago on 15.12.2023. 6. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that without prejudice to his rights and contentions, the petitioner is ready to deposit an amount of Rs.48,980/- with the learned Trial Court within a period of one month. 7. In view of the above, subject to the petitioner depositing an amount of Rs.48,980/- with the learned Trial Court within a period of one month as undertaken, it is directed that in the event of the petitioner’s arrest, he may be released on bail subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.20,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the SHO/IO with further condition that he shall join investigation as and when called by the IO concerned. 8.
