Case No. 33/2023 arising out of Jaldega P.S. Case No. 40/2022 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 32/2023, for the offences registered under Sections 452, 341, 323, 307, 364, 302, 34 of the I.P.C. and Section 3 / 4 of the Prevention of Witch Craft Practices Act, pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Simdega. 3. On 24.10.2022, at about 01:00 am., the petitioner alongwith two other named accused persons came to the house of the informant. They caught hold of him and his wife and dragged them outside and started assaulting them by rod and knife. The wife of the petitioner succumbed to her injuries. 4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that informant has not supported the prosecution case during the trial. It was submitted that out of twelve witnesses, nine witnesses have been examined. 6. Considering the nature of allegation and the fact that the trial is under progress and at the fag end of its conclusion, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail.
