1 THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE K. SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO.7185 OF 2024 ORDER:- The Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is filed on behalf of the petitioner/Accused No.1 to grant anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No.385 of 2024 of Punganur Urban Police Station, Chittoor District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 127(3), 351(2), 64(1) of the BNS and Section 3(a) read with 4 POCSO Act, 2012. 2. Case of the prosecution is that the accused followed the minor girl by name Renuka aged about 17 years and harassed her for want of sexual desires. On coming to know the same, the informant and his relatives warned the accused. Later, on 18.09.2024 the minor girl left from the house and did not return to home and on 22.09.2024 at 04.00 p.m., the minor girl came to the house and narrated that the accused lured her by telling gullible words that he would marry her and took her mobile number. On believing the words of the accused, she accepted for nude video calls with the accused. When the minor girl came out of her house, the accused met her by threatening her, showing her nude photos and videos, and demanded her for his sexual desires, for which she refused, but the accused forcibly committed rape on her. 3. A perusal of the material on record to show that the acts alleged against the accused are grave in nature and considering the nature of offences committed on a minor girl and as investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. _________________________ JUSTICE K.
