For Petitioner(s): Mr.M.Elumalai For Respondent(s): Mr.M.R.Gokulkrishnan Additional Government Pleader for R1 to R3 ORDER This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to update the name of the petitioner in the 'A' Register, Chitta and Adangal and also the other computerised records based on the allotment made in favour of the petitioner. 2.Heard Mr.M.Elumalai, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.M.R.Gokulkrishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 3/6 WP No. 8419 of 2025 3.The petitioner was allotted free house site patta on 02.02.1971. Thus, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of two cents of lands. The patta was also issued in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner is residing in the property and he is paying the property tax, electricity charges etc. The grievance of the petitioner is that the name of the petitioner has not been updated in the 'A' Register, chitta, adangal etc. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to make a representation before the 2 nd respondent along with all relevant records. On receipt of the same, the 2 nd respondent shall take necessary steps to update the name of the petitioner in the relevant records, based on the allotment made in favour of the petitioner and also the patta which has already been granted in the name of the petitioner.
