JUSTICE R.DEVDAS) These writ petitions are filed by the State of Karnataka and the Director General and Inspector General of Police, aggrieved of the orders by the Karnataka State Administrative Tribunal, Belagavi in Application Nos.10619/2020 and 10620/2020. 2. The respondents are working at Karwar Town Police Station and Karwar Rural Police Station and both of them have submitted application seeking transfer from Western Range to Ballari/Belagavi Range. It was contended on behalf of the petitioners herein that the applications were required to be considered in terms of the circulars dated 22.08.2019 and 17.09.2019 where such a request for transfer could be considered only if the persons had completed seven years of service at a place. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:7322-DB WP No. 100434 of 2022 C/W WP No. 100532 of 2022 3. Learned Government Advocate submitted that the impugned order was passed on 17.02.2021 and by efflux of time, the period of seven years has now elapsed and both respondents are eligible for consideration of transfer. The learned Government Advocate would therefore submit that the writ petitions may be disposed of and the petitioners will consider the case of the respondents in accordance with the circulars, since both of them are eligible for transfer even in terms of the impugned circulars. 4. Placing the submission of the learned Government Advocate on record, the writ petitions stand disposed of while directing the petitioners to consider the case of the respondents for transfer, since they have completed seven years of service from the date of their appointment, if not already considered.
