The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Kolebira P.S. Case No. 70 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 12(1), 12(2), 12(3), 13 of the Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, pending in the Court of learned C.J.M., Simdega. Petitioner happens to be the Khalasi of pick-up van bearing registration No.JH01-EG-8058 which was seized by Kolebira police on 23.10.2024. On search, 550 Kgs. of bovine flesh were recovered from the said vehicle. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. The petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail after two months. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
