Petitioner has been made an accused in connection with NDPS Case No. 89/2024, arising out of Vidhan Shabha P.S. Case No. 30/2024, registered under Sections 21 (b) of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Judicial Commissioner-cum- Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Ranchi. On 24.06.2024, Vidhan Sabha police raided the house of the co- accused Karmi Devi and seized about 87 grams of brown sugar from there. It was submitted that the house of the co-accused Karmi Devi and petitioner are jointly owned by several persons. It was further submitted that the quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of intermediary quantity. It was finally submitted that the entire family members have been made an accused in this case. Learned Spl.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail. It appears that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court earlier. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Commissioner-cum- Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Ranchi, in connection with NDPS Case No. 89/2024, arising out of Vidhan Shabha P.S.
