Petitioner has been made an accused in connection with Rail (Muri) P.S. no. 05/2024, registered under sections 20(b) (ii) (c), 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act 1985, pending in the court of learned Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Ranchi. On 30.05.2024, the petitioner along with co-accused persons were apprehended at Platform No. 1 of Muri Railway Station. On search 36.650 kgs of cannabis were recovered from the joint possession of all the accused persons. Learned lawyer for the petitioner submitted that only 7.900 kgs of were recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner. Regard being had to the facts and circumstance of the case and considering the fact that commercial quantity of cannabis was recovered from the joint possession of all the accused persons and the bail application of the similarly situated co-accused persons have been earlier rejected by this Court; I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
