GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue any writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the Police Officials of the respondents No.2 to 4 in interfering with the exhibition of the skill games i.e.. Ring Throw and Ball Box by the petitioner as illegal, arbitrary and without jurisdiction and in contravention to the Section 15 of the AP Gaming Act 1974 and to consequently direct the respondents not to interfere with the lawful activity of exhibition of the skill games by the petitioner.” 2 2. Sri V.V.Satish, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Respondents – Police are interfering in the activities of the Petitioner in exhibiting the skill game stall and a direction may be given to the Police not to interfere with the same. 3. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit the Court may pass appropriate order. 4. Considering the submissions made, if the Petitioner’s activity is restricted only to the exhibition of skill games, the Authorities are directed not to interfere in exhibiting the skill game stall by the Petitioner. However, it does not preclude the authorities to take necessary action, in the event Petitioner taking up any illegal activities on the premise that he is exhibiting skill games. 5. With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
