The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the works entrusted by the 4th respondent corporation and has submitted the final bills. The 4th respondent has also issued work completion certificates for the completed works. From the certificates filed along with the writ petition, it is evident that the works were completed in all respects and the competent authority has certified the progress of the work in the M Book and approved the payment of the bills. It is submitted that, in all, an amount of Rs.28,22,307/- is due and payable by the respondents to the petitioner. The learned counsel further submits that the defect liability period is also completed. However, the final bills have not been released so far. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, the learned standing counsel for the Corporation, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning. 3. Considering the submissions, respondents 2 and 4 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3 W.P.
