1. The present writ petition has been filed for quashing the order dated 20th August, 2024 (Annexure-6 to the writ petition) passed by the respondent no.5-Circle Officer, Gumla in Misc. Case No.37, whereby the application of the petitioner no.4 for entering the name of his father-Late Raghubir Prasad Sahu in Register-II with respect to the land appertaining to Khata No.37, Plot No.232 situated at Village-Fasia, P.S. Gumla, District Gumla measuring an area of 0.87 acre out of 1.74 acres has been rejected. Further prayer has been made for issuance of direction upon the concerned respondent to enter the petitioners’ name in the Register-II and to issue rent receipts in their favour with respect to the aforesaid land.
2. Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and considering the nature of the prayer made in the present writ

petition, without entering into the merit of the case, the petitioners are given liberty to prefer an appeal before the respondent no.4 challenging the order dated 20th August, 2024 passed by the respondent no.5 in Misc. Case No.37. If the petitioners file the appeal before the respondent no.4 by 18th August, 2025 along with an application seeking condonation of delay in filing the same, the said respondent shall consider the same leniently and dispose of the appeal on its merit after providing due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and other concerned persons.
3. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with aforesaid liberty and direction.
