Petitioner has filed this petition for the following reliefs: “10.1 Issue appropriate writ and direct the appellate authority i.e. respondent no.1 to decide the pending appeal under rule 23 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Service (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1966, as far as possible within period of 30 days in the interest of justice. 10.2 Pass an appropriate order or issue writ as deemed fit under the facts and circumstances of the case.” Digitally signed by V PADMAVATHI Date: 2025.07.09 11:11:46 +0530 Wps 6659 of 2025 2 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that against order of dismissal, petitioner has filed a departmental appeal under Rule 23 of the ChhattisgarhCivil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rule, 1966 before the State Government on 19.03.2025, which is still pending before the respondent authorities, and a direction may be given to respondent-1 to decide the pending departmental appeal within the stipulated time frame, in accordance with law. 3. Learned State counsel has no objection if such a direction is being given to respondent-1 for taking decision on the pending departmental appeal filed by the petitioner, if the same has not been decided yet. 4. Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, also considering the issue involved in the matter, respondent-1 is directed to decide the pending departmental appeal filed by the petitioner herein on 19.03.2025 in accordance with law on its own merits within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 5. Petitioner is directed to produce copy of this order to respondent-1 within a week from today, and shall cooperate with hearing of the appeal. 6.
