GP FOR HOME 3 THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA WRIT PETITION NO: 23070 of 2025 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “…pleased to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the 6th Respondnet i.e Station House officer, Vizianagaram (Rural) P.S, Vizianagaram in delaying the investigation, and Unfair, Unclear irresponsible on the part of the Respondent No.4 for not conducting the investigation swiftly and promptly in FIR.No.180/2023 which was registered on 05.08.2023 even lapse of 2 years, is as unlawful and illegal arbitrary in violation under article 21 of the Constitution of India and against the Principles of Natural Justice and consequently direct the Respondent No.6 to conduct and complete the investigation swiftly, promptly, fairly as mandated in Law and to submit the Charge sheet before the Honble Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Vizianagaram to meet the ends of Justice and to pass.…” 2. Heard Sri Dhana Raju Guntu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for the respondents. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the grievance of the petitioner is that police are not concluding the investigation in FIR.No.180/2023 which was registered on 05.08.2023 even after lapse of 2 years. Learned counsel would further submit that a direction may be given to the respondent-police to conclude the investigation. 4 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 5. Considering the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the Police are directed to conclude the investigation and file a report according to law as expeditiously as possible within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order, if not already filed. No order as to costs.
