PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A1, seeking anticipatory bail, in connection with Crime No.529 of 2024 of Ajit Singh Nagar Police Station, Vijayawada District. 2 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 85 and 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that the petitioner herein/A1, who is the husband of the de facto complainant, harassed the de facto complainant both mentally and physically with the support of his mother A2 and that on 15.11.2024, at about 15.00 hours, A1 came to the house in a drunken state and had quarrel with the de facto complainant, grabbed her hair and punched her against the wall. Later, A1 took a cutter from his trouser pocket and tried to stab her, but when she escaped, A1 stabbed the mother of the de facto complainant in her stomach with an intention to kill her. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material on record goes to show that specific overt acts have been attributed against the petitioner herein/A1 that on the date of incident he came to the house in a drunken state and had a quarrel with the de facto complainant, grabbed her hair and punched her against the wall. Later, A1 took a cutter from his trouser pocket and tried to stab her with an intention to kill her. When she escaped, A1 stabbed the mother 3 of the de facto complainant and caused injuries. In the course of scuffle, even the daughter of the petitioner herein/A1 sustained injuries. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation is still pending and some more witnesses are to be examined. 6. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein. 7.
