1. Heard the parties. 2. This Writ Petition has been filed invoking the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to issue appropriate writ/orders/directions commanding upon the respondent to forthwith investigate the Lower Bazar P.S. Case No. 274 of 2023 and arrest the accused person. 3. The brief fact of the case is that, the petitioner who is the victim has lodged the written report basing upon which Lower Bazar P.S. Case No. 274 of 2023 has been registered under Section

342/376/504/506/509 of the Indian Penal Code. It is next submitted that the writ petitioner is a widow of the younger brother of the sole accused of the said Lower Bazar P.S. Case No. 274 of 2023. The anticipatory bail application of the sole accused has been rejected vide order dated 26.04.2024 in A.B.A. No. 1604 of 2024. Hence, it is submitted that the prayer as prayed for by the petitioner in this writ petition be allowed. 4. Learned counsel for the Respondents-State submits that the respondents are duty bound to investigate the matter and take the investigation to its logical conclusion. 5. Having heard the rival submissions made at the Bar and after going through the materials available in the record, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to conduct the remaining investigation of the case expeditiously and to take the investigation to its logical conclusion, preferably within a period of three months from the date of disposal of this writ petition. 6. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
