Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Kuchai P.S. Case No. 34 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 336/338/340/341 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, section 47(a) of Excise Act and section 63 of the Copy Right Act, pending in the court of learned A.C.J.M., Seraikella. 3. On 18.10.2024 at 4.00 p.m., Kuchai Police on the basis of confidential information raided a illegal distillery near Jangli Pahari, Lopta and apprehended co-accused persons. They were indulged in making illicit liquor. On search, 150 litres of illicit liquor were also recovered from there. 4. It was submitted that though, the petitioner is named in the FIR, but he was not apprehended at the place of occurrence. It was further submitted that the name of the petitioner has transpired in the confession of the apprehended co-accused persons. 5. Learned A.P.P has opposed the prayer for bail, but does not dispute the aforesaid facts. 6. In view of the submission made above, petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned A.C.J.M., Seraikella in connection with Kuchai P.S.
