This Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is filed for the following relief:
“to issue a Writ or Order more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not finalizing the medical reimbursement bills claimed by the petitioner for treatment of his wife as illegal arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents to pay the medical reimbursement in terms of the recommendation of the 2nd

respondent in proceedings Letter Rc.No.1016/(D32)MB-2- 2/209, Dt:12-01-2016 & 13-05-2016 and to pass...”
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services III.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents have not finalized the medical reimbursement bills claimed by the petitioner for the treatment of his wife.
4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services III placed on record a letter dated 26.09.2025 submitted by the petitioner, addressed to the Commissioner of School Education, who is Respondent No. 2 herein. In the letter, the petitioner states that after filing of the writ petition, the Commissioner of School Education sanctioned a sum of Rs. 90,000/- and that he has drawn the amount. The said assertions have not been disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petition may be closed as no further orders are required.
5. In view of the submissions made by both sides and in view of the contents of the letter submitted by the petitioner, the cause in

the writ petition does not survive for further adjudication. Hence, the writ petition is closed. No costs.
