JUSTICE SACHIN SHANKAR MAGADUM ORAL ORDER Though this writ petition, on merits, warrants dismissal with exemplary costs, a fact which was clearly indicated to the learned counsel for the petitioner during the initial hearing, the learned counsel has earnestly requested this Court to consider the petitioner’s bona fides and to moderate the quantum of costs initially contemplated. 2. Considering the memo filed by the petitioner seeking permission to withdraw the writ petition, and in the interest of justice, this Court is inclined to take a lenient view, albeit with a stern caution. The petitioner is hereby warned - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:24592 WP No. 19232 of 2025 that any future attempt to mislead this Court or produce fraudulent or fabricated documents will be dealt with seriously and may invite stringent penal consequences. 3. In view of the above, the memo for withdrawal is taken on record, and the petitioner is permitted to withdraw the writ petition, subject to payment of costs. 4. Accordingly, this Court proceeds to pass the following: ORDER (i) The writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn; (ii) The petitioner shall pay costs of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand only) to the Karnataka High Court Advocates’ Clerks Benevolent Fund; (iii) The petitioner is directed to report compliance of payment before this Court on or before 16.07.2025, failing which appropriate orders will be passed.
