GP FOR AGRICULTURE The Court made the following: 2 THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE NYAPATHY VIJAY W.P.No.22453 of 2025 O R D E R: In the present Writ Petition, the Petitioners are seeking for grant of Special Promotional Post (SPP-1A) scale on completion of 12 years of incremental service in the category of Agricultural Extension Officer ( AEO Grade-II). 2. The Petitioner No.1 was appointed as Agricultural Extension Officer on 07.11.2012, while the Petitioner Nos. 2 to 4 were appointed on 08.11.2012 and 14.11.2012, and the probation of these Petitioners was declared on 19.11.2014. It is stated that as per G.O.Ms.No.96 Finance (Pay Commission-II) Department, dated 20.05.2011, the Automatic Advancement Scheme was introduced to the State Government Employees and the employees of Local Bodies as a substitute for those who are unable to get regular promotion due to non-availability of vacancies. 3. Learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that the said enhanced scale of pay would be granted once in every 12 years. As the Petitioners were not granted the enhanced scale 3 of pay as per G.O.Ms.No.96, dated 20.05.2011, the present Writ Petition is filed. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader submits that the case of the Petitioners would be considered in terms of the rules, and after considering the applicability of G.O.Ms.No.96, dated 20.05.2011, to the Petitioners, and appropriate orders would be passed by the Respondent Authorities. 5. Considering the submissions made, the present Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions: (i) The Petitioners are directed to make a representation to the Respondent Authorities for grant of Automatic Advancement Scheme in terms of G.O.Ms.No.96, dated 20.05.2011, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. (ii) On receipt of the representation of the Petitioners, the Respondent Authorities shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of two thereafter.
